Marcela Chávez Ocampo, President
Marcela is an Erasmus Mundus Master in Media Engineering for Education graduate (2010-2012) from Lisbon Technical University (Portugal), Poitiers University (France) and National Distance Education University (Spain). Her main research interests are related to educational technologies, in particular, Design Thinking applied to Education and how ubiquitous computing can be implemented in different learning environments. She has worked in distance education for over eight years within multicultural and multidisciplinary teams at universities and companies in Mexico City and international organizations in Italy and Germany.

Abebaw Yirga Adamu, Vice President
He is a PhD student at the School of Education, Tampere University, Finland. He has been working as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Education, Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia since 2003. He also worked as coordinator of Bahir Dar University’s Cultural Centre. Currently, he is on study leave. Abebaw has an Erasmus Mundus M.A. in Lifelong Learning Policy and Management and an M.Ed. in Multicultural and Multilingual Education. His research interest includes higher education (internationalization, harmonization, diversity, and quality), lifelong learning, adult education, and health education for rural communities.

Natalia Jerzak, Conference Director
Natalia has finished her carreer through Erasmus Mundus Master Course - The European Master in Media Engineering for Education (EUROMIME 2011-2013). Her mobility experience took place in University of Poitiers (France), University of Lisbon (Portugal), Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, Madrid (Spain) and Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, (Mexico). She also obtained Master's Degree in Marketing and Management with the specialization in Advertisement in WSB-NLU, Poland. Her research interests include human rights, problems of poverty, knowledge exclusion, ICT and Serious Games. She believes that technology can provide useful solutions through crafted training simulations and dedicated serious games contextualized in socio-political, cultural context. Privately, she is a keen traveller, video game player and amateur photographer.

Lana Pasic, Communications Coordinator
Lana graduated from Erasmus Mundus Master in Comparative Local Development at the University of Trento (2009- 2011) and MPhil in International Development at the University of Oxford (2011-2013). She completed her undergraduate studies in International Relations at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Lana has worked in development sector since 2007. She lived and worked in Bosnia and Herzegovina, South Africa, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom. Her research interests include education in developing countries, SRHR education, youth participation, post-conflict reconciliation and equality.

Sulabha Karunanidhi, Research coordinator
Sulabha graduated from Erasmus Mundus Master’s in special educational needs and currently in India working in the field of special education. She was president of EMA Indian chapter and very well associated with other EMA teams. She believes that “Service to mankind is service to god”

Manasseh Anand graduated from Erasmus Mundus Master in Computational Mechanics from Swansea University (UK) and Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (Spain). He is from Chennai, India and is currently working in Barcelona.
